Our Team
Come and meet our dedicated, passionate and caring team here at Leo’s.
Andrew
Trustee
Andrew is one of the founding members of Leo’s and a Paediatric Consultant. His passion for compassionate care is uplifting, he goes the extra mile both in his work with children, and his work here at Leo’s. Here he is with our little Oska back in 2019.
Ali
Trustee
Ali is one of our newest trustees. Bringing in her exceptional expertise as a midwife and a mum to Elodie who lives in the stars, and Ewan & Walt who have both needed neonatal care. Ali has also been a service user here at Leo’s, and is deeply passionate about ensuring families get the best care, when they need most.
Abby
Trustee
Abby is one of our newest trustees here at Leo’s.
Abby’s first daughter, Edie, was sadly born unresponsive, despite Abby having a low risk pregnancy. Edie went on to spend three weeks in NICU, where she was seriously ill due to a lack of oxygen. Abby, began attending Leo’s groups in 2018, and was one of the very first families we cared for. Since then we have supported Abby, Edie and their family throughout their journey. Abby was so passionate about wanting to give back to the charity, being a trustee was the perfect role for her.
Philippa
Trustee
Philippa is also one of our newest trustees here at Leo’s. Philippa is a force for change in our local area as the Deputy Mayor of Middlesbrough, championing an array of voices in the town she serves – including neonatal and baby loss families. She’s also a proud mum of three and is always doing something wonderful for someone.
Lottie
CEO & Perinatal Baby Loss Mentor
Hi, I’m Lottie. I’m the CEO here at Leo’s. My baby loss journey began in 2015 when my son Leo took his last breaths in my arms at just four hours old. Losing your baby is the last thing any parent prepares for when they become pregnant, you don’t just lose your child, you lose their entire life, and all the intricate moments within it. The aftermath of loss is crippling, and I feel very priviledged that our team will now be able to get support to pregnancy and baby loss families. After being so lost myself, I know first-hand how important this care is, and the difference it can make.
Danielle
Perinatal Baby Loss Mentor
Hi I’m Danielle and I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to be part of Leo’s. I have spent most of my adult life working as a mental health support worker and within social support services for almost 14 years. In 2023 I will have completed my Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling Skills. Alongside what I have learned I am very much using my own story moving forward to support the families I work with. I am a very proud mama to 3 and will forever hold our 3 angels who could not stay, they are all my motivation and I would not be here if it was not for them. I have and continue to walk the road of baby loss recovery since my first miscarriage in 2012 and understand the impact and ripple effects this trauma has throughout all relationships. It is really important to me that the people I work with know they are not on this road alone, we are very much together and I look forward to providing a safe space for your journey.
